Pretty Little Liars Ratings: Season 4, Episode 3 Reaches Season Low

For the first time this season, Pretty Little Liars didn’t top the ratings board. Last night’s episode (Season 4, Episode 3: “Cat’s Cradle”) hit a low number with a 0.9 in adult 18-49, down 0.4 from last week’s 1.3 rating. Ouch!

Last night, reality show Catfish and TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles tied as Tuesday’s highest-rated cable originals, both earning a 1.4 in the coveted demo, according to TV By the Numbers. However, it should be noted that both of those cable programs celebrated their season premieres that night.

Though admittedly last night’s episode wasn’t the most exciting PLL we’ve seen, it’s surprising that the ratings were so low. For the past two weeks (the premiere and Episode 2), the show has been the No. 1 cable show, and now the mighty Liars have fallen behind the likes of Storage Wars and Deadliest Catch.

We’re still awaiting an official ABC Family press release to see if the numbers ticked up after next-day DVR watch and how many people tweeted during the show. After all, PLL still holds the title of the most tweeted show on TV! It looked like things were still trending, so good news could still be on the horizon for PLL.

Are you surprised by the ratings for Season 4, Episode 3: “Cat’s Cradle”? Sound off below.
