The Vampire Diaries Ratings Stay Steady With Season 5, Episode 7!

Good news, Vampire Diaries fans! The ratings for Season 5, Episode 7 (“Death and the Maiden”) are in, and they matched last week’s stellar ratings.

Over 2.6 million of you tuned in for triple the doppelganger drama, matching last week’s 1.3 rating in the adults 18-49 demo. But here’s the even better news: The Vampire Diaries bested both ABC and NBC in the 8 o’clock hour! Now that’s impressive — and Amara didn’t even need to conjure up a viewing spell! At this rate, a Season 6 seems like a no-brainer.

But that’s not the only good news for the CW: the network’s freshman series Reign saw a small boost in the 9 o’clock hour. Reign grew its audience for a second consecutive week this, bring in over 1.7 million viewers. And in the 18-49 demo, the freshman drama ticked up slightly to a 0.7 rating.

November is proving to be quite the power month for the CW. The network recently picked up all three of its freshman dramas for full seasons, including TVD spin-off The Originals, which has been a huge hit for the CW. In fact, viewers are so captivated by the Mikaelsons, its ratings are nearly matching TVD’s! Talk about vampire fever…

Are you happy with TVD’s ratings this season? Sound off in the comments!
