Raven Gates Joins ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 4 After Nick Viall Split
Who needs one Bachelor when you can have multiple?
That’s a lesson newest Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay learned, and now her pal and fellow Season 21 eliminee Raven Gates is following suit by pursuing love on another franchise show: Bachelor in Paradise!
Choosing Vanessa Grimaldi over her, he explained that his heart was “somewhere else.”
“Thinking about last night, and this morning, I just don't know if I'm in love,” he admitted. “My heart's somewhere else.”
Raven took it in stride, replying, "I'll never regret standing here telling you how I feel.”
But that was way back in November, and on last night’s live After the Final Rose, she’d clearly recovered — and looked totally fire in a plunging black dress.
“I definitely thought I was going to get engaged that day. I think you see it in my face how shocked I was,” she started, sitting beside the Bachelor and Chris Harrison in the hot seat.
However, don’t feel bad for her! She always had a healthy head on her shoulders about the difficult process.
“I was realistic about another person being there but I was also very confident in what we had because we were so fun-loving and had such a great time with each other,” the 25-year-old reasoned.
She continued, “I think maybe a lot of people thought I was naive, but I wasn’t.”
So what does she think of his engagement to Vanessa?
“I’m really happy for you and I want you to know that I want the world for you. Just because it wasn’t me, doesn’t mean I wish any ill will in your relationship,” she maturely stated, quipping that she’s happy he wasn’t “rejected” again.
“I think that Nick and Vanessa both are very passionate and you can obviously see that they’re very passionate about each other,” she added, musing that she could see wedding bells in their future.
What about her love life, though?
“I’m always lookin’ for love!” the Southern belle admitted.
Then, a proposition from host Harrison: “I’ve got something going on this summer in Mexico. They call it Paradise.”
“Hey, if anything I know that if Nick can go to Paradise and do this experience and find love that I can, too,” she answered.
“So we’ll see you in Paradise?” he clarified. “Yeah!” she replied enthusiastically.
Hooray! Can’t wait to see you this summer, girl!
Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 premieres this summer on ABC.
