Oliver explained that in "Under the Gun," Toby and Spencer head to Ravenswood to try to track down someone who may hold answers to why Ali was calling the sorority house — presumably Carla Grunwald, the mysterious house mother, who Oliver confirms we will meet this week.
What the couple finds, though, is more than a clue: It's a town where "somethin' ain't right ... and it's not just a lack of Starbucks!"
So, what is so off about this new town? "This is a town where the living are very comfortable mingling with the dead," Oliver explained, mentioning that "the town has an expansive graveyard," which we see a bit of in the promo for this week. "The town has a foot in the past," Oliver added. "They have not let go of a terrible calamity that happened some years ago."
Many Pretty Little Liars fans are concerned about the fact that Ravenswood appears to have some supernatural elements. Until now, Pretty Little Liars, while not exactly highly realistic, has never involved actual fantasy. Is that going to change?
Fortunately, Oliver was firm that while we might get hints of the supernatural elements in Ravenswood this week, "the supernatural exists in Ravenswood, not Rosewood." So, fans can rest assured that whatever happens on the spin-off, PLL will remain fantasy free.
