The premiere of Ravenswood is just days away, and that means a change in Caleb’s (Tyler Blackburn) hometown, relationship status with Hanna (Ashley Benson), and entire focus as he is pulled into the Ravenswood curse. Tyler sat down with TV Fanatic to spill the beans on how Ravenswood just might be scarier than Pretty Little Liars, Caleb’s future with Hanna, and the potential for crossovers between the two shows.

We’ve been wondering how what we know of Caleb’s backstory already fits into the Ravenswood mythology, and Ty addressed the question in his on-set interview: “While in Ravenswood, [Caleb] starts to uncover a little bit more about his father’s side of the family and their dealings with Ravenswood … That’s sort of where his ancestry comes from.”

According to Tyler, in every episode we will find out a bit more about Caleb’s connection to this mysterious town. Sounds like they're slowly drawing us in, which seems to be what happens to Caleb too, and could spell trouble for Haleb.

“For right now, they’re going to stay apart,” Tyler said of Caleb and Hanna. “There is definite room for crossovers. Who knows what will happen, but at first, Hanna allows Caleb to go and help Miranda uncover some about her past but, in turn, finds out about his … He’s kind of drawn to it for a lot longer than he’d hoped.” Tyler added that he “can’t say a whole lot about what happens, but I think some people will get it and some people won’t.” Let’s hope we all fall into the former category.

As for the spookiness of Ravenswood, Caleb seems to think it is scarier in PLL quite the claim, given some of the fodder for nightmares PLL has sent our way (we’re looking at you, creepy doll shop): “This curse is mystical,” said Tyler of the central curse that pulls the five Ravenswood protagonists together. “It’s spiritual. It’s much harder to grasp and understand and, therefore, control, so it’s almost scarier.”

We get it: Ravenswood has a hold on Caleb, but does that mean we’ll never see him again walking the sunny streets of Rosewood?! “You will see him back in Rosewood,” Tyler said. Phew.
