One of our favorite parts of Ravenswood so far has been the sometimes star-crossed romance between Remy Beaumont (Britne Oldford) and Luke Matheson (Brett Dier). In Season 1, Episode 4 (“The Devil Has a Face”), they broke up when Luke confessed to kissing Tess — maybe for a play, maybe not. Will these two stay apart? Say it isn’t so, show!
Yes, The Curse’s Insanity Will Bring Them Back Together
Say what you will about The Curse that has five ridiculously good-looking teenagers destined to untimely deaths, but at least it’s a shared interest if Luke wants to get back together with Remy — which he totally does. In the fall finale, he confessed to Olivia that he made a mistake in kissing Tess, and that he wants to get back together with Remy. He’s been trying to talk to Remy about it ever since — to no avail. But we figure these two are eventually going to have a moment alone, and they might just work things out. Especially given that, in this sneak peak for the winter premiere, we see Luke watching over Remy’s sleepwalking form. OK, Caleb may be there, too, and it may be Curse-related, but it’s still an aww-worthy moment. If Curse-related drama doesn’t drive these two back into one another’s arms, a false accusation of Luke’s complicity in his father’s murder might. In the winter premiere promo, we see him getting led away in a cop car right after a shot of a planted knife. Remy, help him!
No, Remy Won’t Take Him Back That Easily
Remy seems like a loyal friend, but she also doesn’t seem like the type to forgive easily. Even if these two kids do get a chance to talk things over, that doesn’t mean Remy will immediately forgive Luke. In the fall finale, she told Luke that he was welcome to talk to her about The Curse, but nothing else as they were broken up, OK? We wouldn’t be terribly surprised if these two settled into some kind of tense, in-between phase that might eventually result in their romantic reunion (because, really, these two can’t stay away from one another forever) — but not for a good, long while. There’s also the very likely chance that one of them could die before they get a chance to work things out. As there is a ghost murder attempt on their lives more-or-less every episode, it’s not completely out of the question. Then, they would really be star-crossed.
Do you think Remy and Luke will get back together — soon? Sound off in the comments below!
