Ray J Enters Not Guilty Plea to Sexual Assault Charges
Upcoming Love & Hip Hop Hollywoodstar Ray J. has been in some trouble lately — but according to the R&B singer, he’s not guilty of any legal wrongdoing. Well, that’s at least the plea that Kim Kardashian's sex tape co-star entered in court on August 19.
According to Page Six, the VH1 reality TV star pleaded not guilty to groping a woman at a Beverly Hills hotel bar and resisting arrest after.
Los Angeles prosecutors said Ray J entered the plea on Tuesday, August 19 to misdemeanor charges of sexual battery, vandalism, and battery on a police officer, and resisting the officers of the law.
The “Wait a Minute” singer was arrested back in May after a woman claimed he grabbed her inappropriately, and police allege that when they arrived at the scene, Ray J. refused to leave. When he finally got into the patrol car, cops say that Ray J kicked out a window. Naughty, naughty!
Ray J’s scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing on August 28. We hope things work out for the best for Ray J. (And secretly wonder if VH1 cameras will be there to see it all go down!)
Catch Ray J on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood airing Monday, September 15 at 8 p.m. ET on VH1.
