Ian Somerhalder Reacts to TVD’s 100th Episode: “Whoa… WTF?”

While fans were enjoying a new episode of The Vampire Diaries last night, the stars were wrapping up filming for their landmark 100th episode. Sure, we just watched the sixth episode of Season 5, but that means we’re only five episodes away from Episode 11, which will be the centennial episode.

We’re sure most of the cast went to their respective beds and passed out after a long day of shooting, luckily we can count on Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) to offer up some thoughts.

“Just wrapped the 100th EPISODE of The Vampire Diaries! Whoa... WTF? Thank you, you are such an amazing force of nature — not just an audience,” Ian tweeted last night, November 8.

The script for this special episode was finished back in mid-October and we’ve been swimming in spoilers ever since. While we know that Zach Roerig (Tyler Lockwood) is doing a crossover on The Originals, he’s not leaving after one episode — he’ll also be in the 100th ep. And just like any good TVD episode, there’s going to also be some epic flashbacks and tons of blood.

Oh, and in case you need another endorsement to tune in, Olga Fonda (Nadia) says it’s going to be “exciting.” Yep, you heard it straight from the mouth of Katherine Pierce’s babe.

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
