Are we fighting? Is this our end-of-year tiff, like the spat over Mark Ballas’ spats? We picked the great Kym Johnson as our choice for the official Dancing With the Stars Pro of 2011 — but you did not. We’re not going to take it as a slight to Kym, just as a sign that you have mucho love for the other pros — especially Kym’s … let’s call him her “very significant other,” Tristan “Lucky Charm” MacManus.

We put out the call for your pick for the Pro of 2011 and more than 21,000 votes have come in within the past couple of days. Here are the top 5 results:

Tristan MacManus — 8,006 votes
Chelsie Hightower — 5,659
Mark Ballas — 3,307
Maksim Chmerkovskiy — 2,890
Lacey Schwimmer — 1,134

Season 12 winner Kym wasn’t even close. You’ll notice Karina Smirnoff, our #2 and the other lady who won a DWTS season this year, also didn’t make the cut. So now we know — winning or even competing on a particular season of DWTS is not part of your criteria for being pro of the year. (We still stand by you, Kym!)

Tristan took the #5 spot on our list because he had more of a quiet debut as part of the pro troupe on Season 12 and really took off on Season 13 — although he still didn’t quite make it to the Semifinals. But if you think we don’t care enough about Tristan, you’re even crazier than we are. We can practically smell the ink on the restraining order he’s drafting back home in Ireland.

Chelsie didn’t even compete on Season 13, which isn’t to say we don’t love her (we missed her as much as you did), but we’d rather rank her on a year in which she was fully represented. Mark made #4 on our list, since he really has been all over the map this year. Maks was our #3 since he’s been Mr. Headlines all year — from The Bachelor: Ukraine to Kirstie Alley to Hope Solo — but his fans didn’t feel the need to vote him closer to the top this time. Surprising.

How do you feel about this? Can you welcome 2012 with a smile now that your Lucky Charm has won the popular vote? Do you feel you have done Chelsie, Mark, Maks and Lacey proud? Are you with us on Team Kym or Team Other Pro Not Even Mentioned?
