For the first few seasons that Cynthia Bailey was on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was accused of being NeNe Leakes' sheep. Her castmates and fans of the show alike claimed she didn't have a single thought of her own and that she changed her opinions to please whoever she was hanging out with at that moment.

During Season 5, however, Cynthia proved that she is her own person after all, but now we're starting to wonder if maybe she's too self-sufficient. In a recent webisode of "So Fresh & So Clean" — which is not an infomercial for feminine products, but a segment on Hello Beautiful where we get to watch celebs chat with their lady friends about general girl topics— Cynthia revealed that when she first met Peter, she didn't even know why she would need him in her life.

"I was very set in my ways, I was very independent … my frustration was I couldn't figure out what I really needed a man to help me do," Cynthia remembered.

As a woman in her 40s, Cynthia had a different approach to her relationships, but in the end, we guess she found some use for Peter after all. And here we thought that relationships were about love and companionship.

Do you think Cynthia is as independent as she claims?
