We were shocked when The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore was reportedly evicted from her Atlanta home last month after allegedly falling short on her nearly $4,000/month rent, but now a source close to the reality star is saying that the eviction is actually “on hold” until a judge can hear arguments from Kenya and her landlord, Conya Dillion.
According to our source, Kenya — who is currently up on her rent — wasn’t even aware of any problems with her landlord until Conya sued to evict her. Kenya’s lawyer then followed up with the appropriate paperwork but never received any notice that she was to appear in court. As a result, an Atlanta judge has set a new date for “early July” at which point both Kenya and her landlord will argue their case.
Our source insists that Kenya wants everyone to know that she hasn’t formally been evicted and the “Gone With the Wind Fabulous” gal has always paid all of her rent. Coincidentally, Kenya’s lease on the home in question is up on July 10, and although our source wouldn’t confirm that Kenya is shopping for a pricey new abode, we’d guess that she doesn’t want to lease from Conya anymore!
