Looks like the honeymoon is officially over for Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, who is reportedly being sued by her "celebrity wedding planner" for a whopping $2.5 million.
According to TMZ, Tiffany Cook of Dream Design Weddings claims that NeNe spent a total of $1.8 million remarrying her ex-husband, Gregg Leakes, on June 22. And while she was promised 15 percent in addition to design fees and transportation reimbursement, Tiffany says NeNe failed to pay up (although she did reportedly pay an initial down payment of $18k).
Now Tiffany is all worked up and suing NeNe not only for the unpaid balance of $1.1 million, but also for additional damages, bringing the grand total to $2.5 million!
So is there any legitimacy to Tiffany's claim? Not only is NeNe flat-out denying that she ever used Dream Design Weddings (in fact, she tweeted on June 26 that Tony Conway was her wedding planner), but she's also threatening to countersue Tiffany with her "dream team" of kickass attorney friends, i.e. Phaedra Parks, Star Jones, and Ken Nugent.
"I signed a contract wit u? I wrote u a check?" NeNe scoffed on Twitter. "Let me call Ken Nugent right now! A accident attorney can handle this 4 sho LOL."
Leave it to NeNe to have a sense about humor about it! If anything, this drama only makes us even more hyped to see the big white wedding go down on her spin-off, I Dream of NeNe, set to premiere on Bravo on September 17. Will you watch?
