Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Kimberly Michelle Pate, aka K. Michelle, has been known for slapping co-stars in the past, but now it looks like it’s her turn to feel the pain. According to TMZ, the U.S. government is throwing a $52,415.09 tax lien against the musician.

The report claims that K didn’t hand over enough taxes back in 2008 and 2009, right when her career started taking off. You might remember that in 2008 K signed with Jive Records and released her hit song “Fakin’ It” (featuring the fabulous Missy Elliott). Since then, she’s released more music, hopped labels twice (ending up at Warner Bros. Records), and has starred on the hit reality show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Sure, K. Michelle raised her hand at co-star MiMi Faust this year, but it looks like Uncle Sam is getting the last one-two punch. With fame comes great responsibilities, like, you know, paying your taxes. Get it together, girl!
