You all might just know Tameka “Tiny” Harris (neé Cottle) as the wife of rapper T.I.P. Harris and the star of her reality show, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle as well as her nighttime talk show, Tiny Tonight, but there’s more to this pint-size (and we mean pint-size since she’s only 4’11”) reality star.

Tiny is a Grammy Award Winner.

Tiny is probably most known for being a member of the Grammy award-winning ‘90s girl group, Xscape. After the group’s disbandment, Tiny went on to win another Grammy on her own… well, sorta. Tiny and former band member, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burress, penned the hit song “No Scrubs” for Atlanta-based girl group TLC. The two women would share in the group’s 2000 Grammy win for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group.

Tiny’s starting another girl group.

While Tiny may have no interest in joining a girl group again, she definitely has an interest in forming one… with her eldest daughter, Zonnique Pullins, as a member. Enlisting the help of singer (and reality star) Keisha Miles, Tiny co-founded OMG Girlz with two other young girls, including at some point Reginae Carter, who is the daughter of Toya Carter and ex-husband, rapper Lil’ Wayne.

Tiny comes from a musical family.

In addition to having T.I. as a husband, and Zonnique (Miss Star) of OMG Girlz as a daughter, Tiny’s father was a musician as well. Tiny’s dad, Charles Pope, along with her uncle, Joseph Pope, founded the R&B Band, The Tams, who found great success in 1960’s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. Charles died this past july after a long fight with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Tiny and Kandi have known each other since high school.

While some may think that Xscape was just a couple of girls with beautiful voices lumped together, it totally wasn’t the case. As a matter of fact, Tiny met Kandi, and her would-be Xscape group members LaTocha and Tamika Scott, and Tamara Coggins while attending the performing arts Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia. After Tamara left the group, the four ladies were discovered by producer Jermaine Dupri and the rest is history!

Tiny and Xscape reunited… for a very short time.

It seems that back in 2005, Tiny got the singing bug and reunited with former members, sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott, and new member Kiesha Miles to release a new Xscape album, Unchained. Unfortunately, album was not released due to poor promotion.

However, in 2009, Tiny would make her reality TV debut with the show, Tiny and Toya, on BET where we watched the ups and downs of her friendship with bestie Toya. Not only does this lady have music under her belt, but now she’s got TV too! Who knew?!
