Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore caused quite a stir when it was revealed that she and Phadra Parks's man, Apollo Nida, had been texting each other. Now, she's defending her actions.

Kenya and Kandi Burruss appeared on Bethenny this week, where Kenya was asked about her text-versations with Apollo.

"I made a comment because someone said something that wasn't nice about me, and I'm like, 'If you don't care for me, and you think I'm all of these negative things, then stop texting me,'" Kenya tells Bethenny about Apollo.

Kandi clarifies that it wasn't just Apollo texting Kenya, but that they were both texting each other. "Yeah, but he initiated the texts," Kenya counters. "It wasn't flirting, though  it wasn't flirting."

The one issue Kenya has with the texts is that Kandi saw one in which Kenya used the pet name "babe" to Apollo. "Who the hell says hey babe [to someone else's husband]?" Kandi wants to know.

Then, Kenya gets nitpicky. "I didn't say, 'Hey, babe,'" she explains. "No, it was an answer  it was like, 'Yes, babe.'" Right, because that is completely different.

"But I didn't use the word 'baby,'" Kenya adds. "Now see, 'baby' is the difference, right?" Sadly for her, the studio audience doesn't appear to agree.

"I think it's ridiculous to think you can't next text a married person that's of the opposite sex," Kenya continues before adding, "I think it's appropriate if your wife knows."

And so there you have Kenya's side of things. But we're guessing she and Apollo won't be texting again anytime soon.

Was it inappropriate for Kenya to call Apollo "babe" in her text?
