Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart is in the process of a messy divorce from Kordell Stewart — so why is she keeping his name?
Porsha appears on the Wendy Williams Show on November 11 and is asked whether she's keeping Kordell's last name or going back to her maiden name of "Williams."
"I'm going to keep 'Stewart,'" she explains. "It's not his name — it's my name."
"Marriage has taught me so much," Porsha continues. "I'm a whole other woman now, and I'm going to own that name."
Meanwhile, Porsha addresses whether she doted too much on Kordell. "If anybody decided to be a 1950s wife, it was me," she tells Wendy. "I was an independent woman and had my own responsibilities, so when I found a man I could cater to ... that was all me."
Porsha explains that their divorce is not yet finalized, but it will be by the end of the year. "No, in about 30 days it'll be finalized," she says.
Does Porsha have regrets about the marriage? "No regrets, just lessons learned," she says.
So do you think Porsha is making the right call by keeping her new last name? Or should she be going back to her maiden name?
