Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks is pals with Porsha Stewart. But given that Phaedra is a lawyer, it seems a little surprising that she hasn't represented Porsha in her divorce from Kordell Stewart. So what gives?
Phaedra has been representing Kandi Burruss in her lawsuit to get more of the money from Kim Zolciak that their song, "Tardy for the Party," supposedly made. But Phaedra isn't involved with Porsha's divorce, and she explained why this is when she appeared on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show this week.
“Well, you know, I really don’t like divorces," Phaedra says. "I’ve never really liked divorces, and after I worked with Bobby [Brown] and Whitney [Houston] through their divorce, I said I would never do another one. I really don’t care to divorce people." Makes sense to us. Divorces are kind of a bummer.
Plus, as Phaedra exclusively told Wetpaint Entertainment, she has explained to Porsha that she would still assist her informally. "After it was announced, unfortunately, that she would be getting a divorce, she and I began to talk frequently," she told us. "I wanted her to know I supported her and I wanted to give her good and accurate advice on the legal system. I just wanted to be there for her."
Do you think Phaedra should have represented Porsha? Or do you think Phaedra is doing the right thing?
