Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been an emotional one for Kenya Moore thus far. It began with some unwanted eviction drama, and now 42-year-old Kenya is realizing that her time to have biological children is running out. But before Kenya embarks on motherhood, she’s hoping to get some answers about her own mom, who has been absent from her life since she was born.

Who better to talk to Kenya about her mom than her dad? In the sneak peek video below, we see that Kenya’s pops comes to Atlanta for a visit, and even though he’s not warm and fuzzy — he hates pretty much everything about Kenya’s new house — the two of them do have a relationship, which is more than Kenya can say about her and her mother.

After a tour of the house, Kenya opens up to her dad about what it will take for her to have a child of her own. “There are some missing things in my life that I have unresolved that's blocking me from moving forward in relationships, and I think I need to resolve my issue with my mother,” she begins.

Unfortunately for Kenya, her dad says she can “forget about that” as she explains to the Bravo cameras that she was born out of wedlock in the 1970s. “I have never been able to get a straight answer from my dad as to why my mother, to this day, treats me like I don’t exist,” Kenya continues.

Papa Moore tries to explain to Kenya why her mom hasn’t really acknowledged her, but she doesn’t seem all that satisfied with his answer. Check out Kenya’s emotional discussion with her dad in the sneak peek below.
