Andy Cohen may have stepped back from his executive duties at Bravo, but the hilarious and hard-working mastermind behind the Real Housewives franchise and many of the network’s other breakout hits is hardly backing away from reality television. In fact, in an interview with TV Guide, Andy says he sees no end to the Housewives phenomenon, in part because of the recent record-breaking viewership The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been delivering on a weekly basis.

Though he’s ditched his business suit, Andy will continue to host Watch What Happens Live and the Real Housewives Reunions. He’s also retaining his executive producer credit on the RH shows. So what does Andy think the future holds for Housewives? Though many of the shows have been on for at least five years, Andy doesn’t see an end to the franchise in sight.

We’ll let him explain:

I believe that this franchise can go and go and go if we treat it delicately and properly. We're seeing with Real Housewives of Atlanta record numbers of any season ever. I care about it a lot.”

In addition to contributing to Bravo’s most watched month ever, January 2014, RHoA Season 6 has been on fire ever since it premiered back in November 2013. Another show riding the ratings elevator all the way to the top: WWHL!

The TV Guide interviewer even pointed out that WWHL is on par (viewership wise) with the big cats of late night TV, something that Andy loves. “We're kicking butt. Is that bad to say? We're doing well,” he said.

Andy may not be an exec anymore, but as long as he keeps hosting WWHL and wrangling our beloved pinot-guzzling H’wives across the globe, we really can’t complain.

Are you surprised that the Housewives shows are still so successful and RHoA is leading the pack? Tell us what you think below!
