Like legions of Housewives before her, Porsha Stewart has made her aspirations for a music career pretty known on past episodes of Real Housewives of Atlanta. And of late, it’s seemed to be working out, as the recently-single gal has announced a forthcoming single and was even cast on Kandi Burruss’s play! But until now, we’ve heard very little of her actual singing voice. So can Porsha actually sang?

That question was answered in tonight’s all-new February 16 episode of RHoA, when we watched as Porsha auditioned for Kandi’s play A Mother’s Love — which was staged in November. We knew that the youngest Housewife was ultimately cast in the production from social media updates, so the audition wasn’t too high stakes to watch, but it sure was entertaining… and for an unexpected reason.

Porsha’s acting chops could probably still use some brushing up, but we have to say, the lady can sing! We’d heard her belt out a bit of “Amazing Grace” during last year’s reunion, but that had ended up a little wobbly. However, her rendition of “His Eye Is on the Sparrow” was crystal clear and mostly right on-key. Color us impressed! No wonder she snagged the role.

While Bravo has yet to upload the video of her singing from tonight, we do have a radio interview of Porsha from last year, where she sang a few notes live. She doesn’t sound bad there, but it would seem she’s been practicing, because she sounds even better now!

Watch the video below to see how far Porsha’s come. Now we’re even more excited for her debut song, “Flatline."
