With Basketball Wives Season 5 having finished airing in October 2013, we're crossing our fingers that the show will return for a sixth season one of these days. Now, the show's star Tami Roman is shedding light on whether that will ever happen.
Tami tells the Chicago Tribune that she's still not sure if the show will get picked up for Season 6, but she would be a part of it if it does. "If the show were to make a return, then I’m contractually bound to be a part of it," Tami explains, although she's not holding her breath. "I think the key players in our installment — everyone is doing their own thing."
"Evelyn Lozada is a mommy now," Tami continues. "That part of her life may not necessarily work with the Basketball Wives format. Potentially, she might have a spinoff in the works." Tami adds that she herself has been busy filming a pilot for her potential spinoff, Roman Empire, and that she's set to appear on a scripted CBS series this summer.
So clearly, Season 6 is something of a question mark at the moment. However, it's great to hear that Tami is staying so busy, and it almost sounds like she would be happier without having to do Basketball Wives. So we'll have to see what VH1 decides to do.
Are you hoping that the show gets picked up for Season 6?
