Last week, Porsha Williams found herself in the midst of a media whirlwind when TMZ broke the “news” that she was dating the mega-rich son of an African dictator. And though the Real Housewives of Atlanta star did eventually come forth and shut down those claims, she’d already made herself a (totally unexpected) enemy in the form of ABC’s Castle actress Tamala Jones. Yep, you read that right… as in Lanie Parish the medical examiner.

Apparently, Tamala is the real girlfriend of said mystery man, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, and she didn’t take too kindly to the idea of the RHoA star telling everyone that he was her man. The actress lashed out at Porsha on Twitter, basically calling her a liar and phony.

For a while, the “Flatline” songstress remained above the fray on the whole thing, but on Monday, she finally gave in and responded to Tamala’s taunts.

“Please Stop tweeting me. DM me so I can teach you how to release a official statement so you can claim your man #childish,” Porsha wrote in the first in a series of now-deleted tweets.

She then continued, “TMZ came up with the story. Take it up with them and your man. You seem cool. Stop embarrassing yourself. #notinterestedinhim.”

Wow, we’re sort of shocked, but also really proud of Porsha! As much as we love us some Castle and Tamala Jones, Twitter isn’t really the best place to hash out your issues. Miss Williams is finally speaking up for herself in a way we’ve never seen her do it on RHoA. Where was this when Peter Thomas and Kenya Moore were putting her on the spot about Kordell?

From there, Tamala seems to have taken a page from Porsha’s book and stopped engaging on social media — but the same can’t be said for her alleged (identity not confirmed) publicist, who did tweet Porsha back:

“Hello Porsha, this is @tamalajones Publicist. Your Latest comment was very unnecessary. My client has not mentioned you in a negative regard. Please refrain from any publicity antics you are trying to pull. My client is a well known and respected actress and wishes not to be pull into any media or television drama. TY have a great Day.”

Okay, what is with people sticking their noses where they don’t belong? And since when does a publicist get involved in public Twitter feuds? We have to concur with Porsha, who closed things out with the following:

“So in the name of sisterhood I’m done with this. I wish you and your team well. I should have let my statement in response to rumors and your recent tweets speak for itself.”
