When it first became clear that the soft-spoken sweetheart Gregg Leakes was going to get into it with Peter Thomas on an upcoming episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta, we could hardly believe it. These two are good friends — as are their wives, NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey — and they always seemed to get along like gangbusters. But tonight (March 23) we finally found out why the Househusbands duked it out — and it all goes back to NeNe and Peter’s buried issues.

In the all-new ep, it was revealed that the real reason Gregg was fighting was on behalf of his lady, Linnethia. The OG Atlanta gal’s issues with Peter stem back to the Saving Our Daughters gala, when he called her out for making the charity event about her issues with Kenya Moore. And while we thought things had been settled between NeNe and Peter, Gregg was still harboring some resentment with how it was handled.

As the men got in one another’s faces and started shouting, NeNe ran into the room to find out what all the commotion was about.

“I never would have expected Gregg and Peter to get into it when me, Cynthia, Gregg, and Peter are friends,” the DWTS contestant tells the Bravo cameras — neither did we lady! “But friends or no friends, when you cross the line, you deserve to get checked, too.”

Jumping in for her husband, NeNe lays down the law again on her problem with Peter’s behavior that night.

“You were speaking to me all motherf—ing crazy,” she begins, adding, “I was never even invited to the party, so for you to go off on me like I had did something that was f—ed up … You know I’m not going to be disrespected.”

While Peter tries to defend himself by saying that it was NeNe who came to him about the issue, she fires back that his meddling is what causes all the drama — and she didn’t mince her words.

“This is what you need to do, you need to stay out of women’s business,” NeNe says. “You are causing motherf—ng problems… What we do as women, is between us.” And the final kicker: “You stop trying to be a damn bitch!”

Eek. The shocked look on Kandi Burruss’s face says it all. That’s not going to sit well with Peter (or Cynthia). Guess we’ll have to wait until next week to find out!

Can you believe NeNe called Peter the B-word? Was she out of line? Tell us in the comments below.
