When it comes to discussing our most dearly departed stars of Real Housewives of Atlanta, names like Kim Zolciak and Sheree Whitfield are most often thrown around. However, true fans of the Bravo reality show would probably like to know where some of our other favorite Georgia peaches have ended up. For instance, what is Season 1 departee DeShawn Snow up to?

One of the founding members of the Atlanta franchise, DeShawn’s calm demeanor and drama-free attitude may not have provided much of a storyline for the reality TV producers, but we appreciated it all the same. They can’t all be NeNe Leakes!

But after the cameras turned off for her in 2008, DeShawn experienced her own share of personal drama. First, she went through a tough divorce from husband of 12 years, NBA player Eric Snow in 2010. Though it was a sad time for the former reality star, especially with her three young sons smack dab in the middle, DeShawn remained positive and even gleaned a positive side effect: She lost 30 pounds!

"I felt everything was out of my control," the RHoA alum told Us Weekly at the time. "I had no control over anything that was happening in my life and the weight and working out was something I could control."

Now that she was looking and feeling great, DeShawn took the opportunity to switch up her career path. In 2012, she began writing a series of children books called Lil Shawnee, meant to empower tween girls as they get older. She also established her own production company, DeShawn & the Boys Productions to develop her own TV and entertainment projects.

Today, you can catch up with the former Housewife during her many speaking appearances nationwide, as well as her constantly updated social media accounts, which she often uses to post inspirational messages.

"All of my projects are basically to empower and encourage young women," she told Us. "The hardest thing in life is to believe that things happen for a reason. You can't be a victim, you have to be a victor— press through it — and know that success is the best revenge."

Great to see you doing so well, DeShawn! Come back and visit sometime, won’t ya?
