There's a chance for peace in this world after all!
Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker got married on Friday, April 4, and Us Weekly confirmed that Kandi's own Mama Joyce was there. Not only that, they said Joyce even gave the couple "a beautiful toast" in front of friends and family (and cameras — the wedding was taped for a special to air on Bravo).
On April 5, Kandi tweeted, "Last night was the best night of my life!" and added a plug for her Being Kandi special, which aired that night on Centric.
Tonight's (April 6) episode of RHoA will show Todd and Mama Joyce having another awkward conversation, with Joyce saying she never stopped liking Todd, she just stopped respecting him. But Season 6 taped its episodes a while ago, and at least we know the tension didn't stop Kandi and Todd from exchanging vows.
Mama Joyce still seems to have some misgivings about her son-in-law, and just last month she told JET magazine, "I pray that I am wrong. If they are married and it lasts I will be the first to apologize." We'll see. Should we schedule that apology for this time next year, or in five years?
Anyway, congrats to the whole family for taking a step forward together! We can't wait to see this wedding special.
