We knew it was coming, but now it’s finally been announced: Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s wedding spin-off is officially a go! During last week’s April 4 nuptials between the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars, it was pretty clear that Bravo had enlisted their camera crew to capture the romantic occasion. And now Bravo’s got the official details on the (multi-episode!) show.

For one, let’s be grateful that the cable network’s execs are giving us not just one wedding special, but a complete series. It’s not exactly a surprise, as Kandi’s RHoA co-stars NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak both got the same treatment, but there was always a chance.

As of the moment, the spin-off doesn’t have an official title, though it does have the working title of The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding. Our guess is this will change soon, but do you have any suggestions? We are still partial to Kandi & Todd: Electric Boogaloo, or maybe Kandi, Todd, and Mama Joyce Too!

We also now know that the newlyweds are serving as executive producers for the show — no surprise here — which will follow Kandi and Todd every step of the way as they plan their “larger-than-life” wedding. Through some trusty social media pics, we know that the theme was in some way related to the color purple — which may or may not have to do with Bravo’s tease that it will be a Coming to America-themed ceremony. Huh. Guesses?

See below for the official release for the upcoming spin-off:

“You are cordially invited to celebrate the wedding of Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker.  Against vocal family opposition that played out dramatically in season six of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi and Todd have decided to move forward and tie the knot.  Each episode follows Kandi and Todd as they plan a larger-than-life Coming to America themed wedding ceremony, signifying the couple’s initial introduction in Africa.”
