"Perfectly Worthless" is a really misleading title —  the song is worth a lot to several people!

Porsha Williams was seen recording the song in last week's episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 6. After the show, producer Pierre Medor's rep issued statements saying they were surprised to see the song featured on Bravo, and especially surprised to see Porsha act like it was her song. They had Porsha record “Perfectly Worthless” to determine her vocal ability, the rep explained, and later decided she wasn't the right fit.

"We have since sold the song to Syleena Johnson of R&B Divas: ATL," Pierre's rep wrote in an e-mail, via theJasmineBRAND.com. "Syleena, who has a phenomenal voice, did an amazing job recording the song and plans to include ‘Perfectly Worthless’ on her forthcoming album as well as the upcoming season of R&B Divas.  And…. to clear up any confusion this is what the song Perfectly Worthless should sound like!"

Since Syleena was put in the middle of the drama, theJasmineBRAND.com spoke directly to her, asking if she was surprised that Porsha allegedly took her "Perfectly Worthless" song. "I was surprised to hear the song on her show," Syleena said. "I am/was confused maybe, but not really anything else."

The site asked if she had a chance to speak with Porsha to clear the air. "No I haven’t spoken to Porsha," Syleena said, "but I’m sure she’s a nice person.  I don’t think she had me in mind when she decided to drop this as her single….I hope." She added a little smiley-face to the end of that. It sounds like there's no bad blood between the two women, but the producer is not happy, and his team is reportedly starting legal procedures in response to what aired on TV.

You can compare Syleena's version of the song to Porsha's version here at Jasmine's site. It's a beautiful song. We can't really blame everyone for wanting it!
