On the Season 6 finale of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, we got an awesome preview of Kandi Burruss's hit musical, A Mother's Love. In particular, Bravo treated us to a few clips of Porsha Williams in action and we have to say that we were pretty impressed with her stage debut.
But don't take our word for it. Even an experienced vocal technician like the charismatic Miss Lawrence had good things to say about Porsha's first effort.
In this new Bravo clip, Miss Lawrence and Derek J recently sat down to discuss the finale, where Lawrence gave his honest opinion of Porsha's singing skills.
"Porsha did good. She was a little under key on some of her notes and stuff, but I'm a vocal person, so that's what I listen for. But, overall, from what I saw, I think she did good," Lawrence assessed.
He went on to add that "she did a great job for what she was there to do."
Considering that Lawrence is usually a harsh critic when it comes to pretty much anything, we're declaring this a rave review.
In A Mother's Love, Porsha plays Jada, Kandi's younger sister. The character appears to be a little ditzy and funny, although she also has a deeper side as seen during her solo number. In short, it's the perfect role for her!
We can't wait to see the play in full now that it's available for purchase on DVD.
