Apollo Nida may have some tough days ahead as he prepares to start his eight-year prison sentence for fraud, but it looks like he’s taking full advantage of his final moments of freedom.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who will have to repay $1.9 million to a wide variety of defrauded folks, from state governments to multinational banks, didn’t seem to have a care in the world on Thursday night, when he was spotted partying in Atlanta with pals Peter Thomas and Cynthia Bailey.

The group seemed to be having a good time enjoying the scene at Peter’s Bar One, but conspicuously absent from the scene was Apollo’s wife, Phaedra Parks.

Apollo has made it clear in the past that he hopes Phaedra will stick by him as he serves his time, but he recently revealed that he is no longer optimistic about the couple’s chances.

“I mean, my wife didn’t even f—king show up to my sentencing,” he told Atlanta radio station B100, adding, “I’m still salty about that.”

Despite Apollo’s concerns, a source close to the couple says tells RadarOnline.com that Phaedra’s distance from her hubby is her way of keeping things together, despite the difficult situation.

“It sounds like she’s just trying to keep busy and that’s her way of staying strong,” says the insider.

Pal Kandi Burruss echoed these sentiments, telling HollywoodLife, “She’s not really trying to focus as much on what’s happening.”

Do you think Phaedra and Apollo’s marriage can survive his time in prison?
