OK, confession: We only watched the Super Bowl ‘cause we didn’t want to miss the all-new episode of Glee immediately following the game. (Our first choice would have been The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but unfortunately it was a repeat episode.) And, after Christina Aguilera butchered the national anthem, we were def ready to get our Lea Michele on.

But it wasn’t Rachel Berry who incited the ‘90s dance party in our living room. It was none other than Kurt Hummel and his fellow Dalton Academy Warblers performing a seriously hot cover of Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills,” which was written, of course, by our fave Atlanta housewife, Kandi Burruss!

We absolutely loved their a capella rendition, but we got to wondering... what did Kandi think? Did she even watch? We caught up with the Grammy Award-winning songwriter to see what she had to say!

“I was smiling from the inside out watching it. I loved it!,” Kandi gushed. “Anytime someone performs a song that I helped create it makes me really proud. Glee did a great job on their vocal arrangements. I really liked how the background singers were singing all the instrumental parts except for one drum sound. That was really hot!”

We couldn’t agree more! If you missed the Warblers singing “Bills Bills Bills,” you can watch it here.
