Let's face it: Our Real Housewives of Atlanta aren't always on their best behavior. And with Married to Medicine joining the Sunday night Bravo lineup, some people may think that black women are starting to get a bad reputation thanks to the joys of reality television. But, Kenya Moore feels the opposite is true.

During a recent interview with Essence, when Kenya was asked to respond to comments that reality TV is working against empowering black women, the "Gone With the Wind Fabulous" star replied, "Reality television, especially for women over 40, has been great for us and it has empowered and encouraged us to build our brand and be businesswomen and be able to do it all."

Kenya went on to add, "There will be people with an opinion but I think at the end of the day it’s all entertainment and you have to get the positive and negatives from any programming."

If anything, we think reality TV could be giving the human race a bad rep — well, definitely Gary Busey.
