Radar Online is reporting that Teresa Giudice’s husband, Joe, appeared in a New Jersey court room earlier this week and rejected a plea deal that would have placed a five-year cap on his possible prison sentence, stemming from fraud and impersonation charges that were filed in December 2011.

On December 20, Joe was indicted in New Jersey after he fraudulently obtained a driver’s license that was in his brother Pietro’s name, and a grand jury charged him  with one count of impersonation and one count of wrongfully using identifying information of another.

After Joe’s own license was suspended, he reportedly used Pietro’s birth and marriage certificates to get another license with Pietro’s personal information, but his own picture.

Since he rejected the plea deal, Joe could face up to 11 years in prison if convicted of both charges.

Season 4 of Real Housewives of New Jersey is set to premiere later this year, so we’re sure Bravo will give us a more in-depth look at the Giudices’ ongoing legal troubles.
