There's been a lot of drama surrounding Real Housewife of Atlanta Kandi Burruss and her decision to release a gospel single. A lot of people feel that someone who sells sexy-time toys and hosts a program dedicated to discussion of freak numbers has no place singing about God.
But, Kandi defended her choice, explaining that the song is her personal testimony about the struggles she's been through. She felt that it would appeal to a lot of people, who could relate to her story.
Clearly, Kandi's onto something, considering the song snagged the No. 1 spot on the gospel iTunes chart.
What's your opinion on the situation? Was gospel a good fit for Kandi, or should she stick to what she knows?
