On the Season 5 finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kenya Moore got the last laugh and booted Porsha Stewart from her party because the H’wife showed up wearing the wrong costume. Even though her actions may have seemed petty (the other wives agreed and followed Porsha outside in solidarity), Kenya explains her side of the story in her most reccent BravoTV.com blog.
First off, Kenya states that giving Porsha the Halle Berry in B*A*P*S costume was not meant to be an insult, be she wasn’t exactly shocked that Porsha interpreted it as such. “I should not be surprised by the pervasive idiocy that exists in one’s own head,” she writes.
And as evidence that she wanted all the ladies at her party (yes, even Porsha), Kenya reveals that she got each of her co-stars a very extravagant and personal gift. “Most importantly, as a show of my appreciation for the ladies, I gifted each of them with beautiful diamond and gold necklaces with their initials courtesy of David Yurman,” she states. “Therefore, I planned on a beautiful, drama free night honoring ALL the ladies, bar none. Yet, someone wanted to ruin my big night by showing up and showing out.”
Lastly, Kenya acknowledges that even though she was the bigger person and managed to apologize to Porsha, she has never received the same courtesy from her fellow newbie. “Yet, I have NEVER received one apology from someone who called me ‘whore, trash, raisin face, old, ashy’ and taunted me throughout the year often laughing at the unfortunate demise and pain in my relationship,” Kenya reasons.
We hate to admit it, but the beauty queen kinda has a point. Granted she overreacted by kicking P out of the shindig, but Porsha has also said some pretty hurtful things for which she has never apologized.
Now that the season in over, are you Team Porsha or Team Kenya?
