It's time for our weekly dose of insanity — here's what went down with Kenya Moore on Season 5, Episode 9 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Let's do this!
Back in Atlanta, Kenya needed a few drinks to get over the disaster that was Anguilla. Over lunch with NeNe Leakes, who was still less than convinced of her fauxmance with Walter, she revealed that her previously abusive relationship was the reason behind her stage five meltdown.
Hearing about the domestic violence she suffered made us feel bad for the stunner and wonder why someone who obviously has some trust issues to deal with is so eager to jump into a life-long commitment, especially with a man who clearly has no plans to do the same.
When she’s not running after an engagement ring, Kenya apparently runs a production company, and she was more than happy to sit down with Phaedra Parks and her husband, Apollo, to discuss their “donkey booty” fitness DVD aspirations. In business mode, Kenya is a completely different (and competent) person, throwing out marketing and financial terms that even have power attorney Phaedra struggling to keep up.
That is, until she pulls out a copy of her movie, “The Confidant”, signed by co-stars Boris Kodjoe and David Banner. There’s the Kenya we know! Even if the film wasn’t from two years ago and the cover didn’t look like something from a softcore porno, it still wouldn’t be appropriate to bring out during their strictly business meeting. But we guess that’s just her “networking.”
Coffee Shop Talk
Soon it was time for Kenya to get back to her real business: marriage. She asks Walter to coffee to discuss the events of their last dinner, and explains why his aggressive behavior had her so shaken. Walter seems unfazed by the admission. It’s clear he’s had it up to here with her theatrics and doesn’t want to put a deadline on their lurve. Kenya somehow thinks this is absurd, and with a small wistful smile that she no doubt learned for her time filming “The Confidante,” she bids adieu to Walter.
But of course, at Cynthia’s wine launch event, it’s all smiles. She arrives alone but assures the other ladies that Walter is coming shortly. When the dude does finally roll in, however, he tactfully ignores her and makes a beeline for his boys and the booze. Annoyed that the housewives witnessed the snub, Kenya is in no mood for a persistent Porsha Stewart, who once again tries to come at her about their issues. She cuts P off before she even starts, and yet again the “mean raisin” stands alone.
