In a recent interview with Glamour Magazine, former Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim Zolciak opened up about her struggle to keep her girls protected from the cruel world of social media. Unfortunately, when your mom's life is an open Twitter page, it's hard to avoid gossip, especially when you are in high school.

My kids are obviously in the public eye, and they have social media. Back in the day, even six years ago with Housewives, something comes out, OK. My daughters didn’t have Twitter, so I could guard them. But now the stuff hits the press in 10 seconds. With my mom bashing me, it put my family in a bad place. And Brielle — people in school say stuff to her," Kim explained.

Boo on haters! Luckily, between her mother and Kroy, Brielle has the great support system she needs and we're sure her real friends stand by her, too. Hang in there, Brielle — high school doesn’t last forever!

We think Kim said it best: "That’s the thing about people that I don’t understand. If people spend as much time doing something positive as they spend on the negative stuff, can you imagine what a better place this world would be?"

Truth.

Are you surprised that Brielle was being bullied? Sound off below!
