If you missed Kim Zolciak during Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, you're probably just as excited as we are to have our weekly dose of the blonde mama again via her spin-off, Don't Be Tardy... Doesn't life just feel better with Kim back on television?
In a recent interview with Glamour Magazine, Kim opened up about family life and her reconciliation with NeNe Leakes.
Of course, having two baby boys keeps Kim busy, but sometimes we forget that she also has a 16-year-old daughter to contend with and that's a pretty big challenge, as well. Especially when said daughter has just been handed the ritualistic ticket to teenage freedom: a driver's license.
"Nobody ever told me how hard it would be to let your daughter go at 16 — to let her drive. And Atlanta's traffic and the highways? It makes me nauseous," Kim admitted.
Unfortunately, Kim's daughters have a lot more to deal with in their public-eye lives than trying to borrow the car for a night out. With all of the drama Kim is experiencing over her mother's lawsuit, it's hard for her to protect her children from the gossip on the Internet and sometimes they are dealing with the talk at school.
When Glamour asked Kim how she deals with the haters, she cited Kroy as the rock that keeps her grounded. "I guess it’s the way the world is at this point. I get a little feisty [with mean commenters], and Kroy’s like, 'Who cares?' We really work because he’s so calm, and I’m popping off all the time," she explained.
In better topics, Kim is way happy over burying the hatchet with NeNe at the Season 5 reunion of RHOA and loves that she and NeNe are both in such great places in their lives.
"She always wanted to be in Hollywood; I always wanted my own show and more kids, so it’s like I have everything I can dream of and so does she," Kim gushed. "Even at the reunion, I knew deep down she was really happy for me because I’m really happy for her too."
Wrapping up the conversation, Kim teased, "I don’t know, maybe we’ll do our own show together one day."
Um, yes, please!
