As usual, Kim looks fabulous, and check out those fierce shoes!
Kim Zolciak may have never made it to South Africa with the other gals, but she has plenty to say about the housewives’ recent trip.
In her latest blog post for BravoTV.com, Kim discusses the many accusations that came her way — even though she was thousands of miles away in Atlanta.
First, Kim puts NeNe Leakes in her place. She writes, “NeNe mentioned that I am materialistic and superficial, which I found funny coming from someone who says she is ‘very rich.’ I love my Louis Vuitton, I love my YSL, and I will STILL die in Dior, but never have I boasted and made displays of my items in hotel rooms.”
We gotta say, Kim has a point there.
Kim them moves onto the whole African baby comment, and let’s just say we were very pleased with how she handled this delicate situation.
“Cynthia and Kandi seemed to think I wouldn't attend the Africa trip because NeNe would stop me and I wouldn't want to hold African children. Although Cynthia made the initial comment, Kandi co-signed, so she's just as guilty in my eyes," Kim says.
"You are supposed to be my friend, why are you agreeing with a hater? If Kandi believes I wouldn't go to an African orphanage, then she doesn't truly know me.”
In her defense, Kandi Burruss tried to explain that a dislike for long flights would have kept Kim out of South Africa, while germaphobic tendencies would have made a trip to the orphanage difficult for Kim, but she isn’t having it.
Kim reveals, “‘Germs’ have never prevented me from holding a sick child, an adult's hand, or walking into a less that sanitary place. End of story.”
Kim then tackles the underlying race issue behind all of this, and eloquently offers her point of view.
“In my eyes children in need are children in need," Kim says. "I have said this before, and I will say it till I die, I DON'T SEE COLOR, not with women, men, children, or adults.”
Kim continues, “What they said was ignorant and rude. I do not need to explain that I am not a racist, because the people who know me know my heart.”
”I embrace all races, and if I didn't, I wouldn't be a cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Need I say more?”
Well said, Ms. Zolciak!
