NeNe Leakes: “Everyone Wasn’t Expecting Me to Come Back” to Real Housewives of Atlanta

NeNe Leakes is the first to admit that she was wary of returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 5, especially given her roles on Glee and The New Normal, but ultimately she decided that she wasn’t done with RHoA just yet.

NeNe recently spoke to Vibe about her life, reality TV and her surprising decision to come back to RHoA, and some of her answers may surprise you.

When asked about Season 5 of RHoA, NeNe reveals that the cast has already been shooting for several weeks, but they still have a long way to go.

As for her choice to return for Season 5, NeNe says, “Everybody wasn’t expecting me to come back for this season. It was really a hard decision for me to even think of coming back because I was so tired of the whole reality thing. And not just being tired of it — I had other things in the works.”

Despite her apprehension, NeNe is confident in her decision to come back. “I think it’s a good idea that I’ve come back for season 5. I would love to just walk away, but when I sit down and talk with my team, it’s not… If you can do it all, then just do it all,” she continues.

Say what you will about NeNe, but there’s no disputing that our gal has morphed into a savvy businesswoman and bona fide Hollywood star!
