Porsha Stewart has only appeared in a handful of episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and while we thought she was sweet enough, the pretty young thing also comes across as a bit of a ditz.

However, during this week’s episode, we got to delve a little deeper into Porsha’s life as she opened up about her heartbreaking miscarriage due to uterine fibroids. She is already an amazing stepmother to Kordell’s son, Syre, but her first pregnancy didn’t go as planned.

In her latest BravoTV.com blog, Porsha gives us some more background on her tragedy and how difficult it was to share with viewers. She writes, ”First let me say it took a lot of prayer and thinking to decide to share that part of my life with you all. As you now know, I decided to open-up because if my story can help one female to take notice of what her body is telling her, if my story can cause one women to ask her doctor for a fibroid test prior to trying to conceive, then it will not have been told in vain.”

Understandably, Porsha was crushed after she miscarried, but hasn’t given up on her dreams of carrying and giving birth to a baby … or two. “I was really devastated following the loss of my first pregnancy, not just a physical pain, but an aching sense of loss and loneliness like my body had let me down,” she explains.

“I will faithfully continue to stay prayerful that I will become a mother for the second time. I learned that it’s not my timing but the big man upstairs who holds my destiny in his hands,” she continues. “I must add that I’m hoping next time it will be a set of twins. LOL, pass the yams!”

We’re so sorry that Porsha has had to go through this, but we commend her for her positive attitude and wonderful outlook on life. She’ll make an excellent mother when the time is right!
