Boris Kodjoe snaps a pic with our favorite newlyweds, Cynthia & Peter, at the 2nd Annual Steve Harvey Foundation Gala.
Based on previews for episode 9 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, we thought for sure that NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton would get into an all-out diva-fight so, truth be told, it was a bit of a letdown when the gals decided to become besties and skipped off into the sunset in search of giant-sized Loubies.
Instead, we were subjected to a counseling session for distraught newlyweds Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas.
The Deets
From the get-go, things have been on the tense side for Cynthia and Peter, ever since well, the day they got married. As we all know, Cynthia's sister Malorie toyed with the idea of hiding the marriage license from Peter and Cynthia to sabotage their wedding. On national television. Naturally, Peter was pissed as all hell, but Cynthia let it slide, claiming that Mal was just being protective. The result? The first divide between Peter and Cynthia.
Now, just as Cynthia is finally standing up to her sister and putting her marriage first, Peter pulls a little sabotage of his own when he makes Cynthia look stupid at The Bailey Agency School of Fashion opening.
When Cynthia calls Peter up to the front of the room in front of all her friends, he's nowhere to be found. Turns out he had peaced out early without letting Cynthia know because he doesn't "like to say goodbye." Ew.
During their counseling sesh, Peter and Cynthia admit that they are both set in their ways, but they manage to remember the things they love about each other.
Outside in the parking lot, Cynthia explains that even though she doesn't always like him or even love him, she's still in love with Peter. Hugs and kisses ensued.
The Winner
First off, we want to make one thing clear: We don't really like Peter. That being said, as far as the counseling session went, we gotta give props to Peter as the winner. Not only did Cynthia call him a dinosaur (burn!), she straight up told him that she doesn't really like him or love him at times. What the hell?
Now as far as leaving a party without letting your wife know — especially when said party is the opening of her business venture — there's no question there. Peter was definitely an ass.
