This week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we met newbie Porsha Williams-Stewart and her man, Kordell Stewart. Like many an Atlanta husband before him, Kordell is in the pro-sports field — specifically, a retired NFL player. So did he play for the Falcons like Kim Zolciak's prize, Kroy?
Nope! Kordell spent most of his career playing for the chilly town of Pittsburgh with the Steelers. Kordell was drafted by the Steelers after college in 1995, and by 1997 he was the starting quarterback for that team, a position he held until 2002.
Kordell also had some brief stints with the Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens toward the end of his run (2003-2005), but he was a Steelers man through and through.
On May 30, 2012, Kordell officially retired from the NFL. He now works as a sideline reporter for the United Football League and an analyst on various ESPN shows such as NFL Live, NFL 32, Take 2, and Mike and Mike in the Morning.
Did you learn anything new about Kordell’s NFL career?
