We already know that Porsha Stewart and her former pro-football hubby, Kordell, tied the knot without signing a prenuptial agreement, but does Kandi Burruss plan to follow suit when she marries her fiance, Todd Tucker? It sure doesn’t sound like it!
In last week’s BravoTV.com blog, Kandi addresses her prenup convo with Porsha, noting, “I do believe in pre-nups. I know that some people feel if you are truly in love and are planning to be dedicated to your marriage that a pre-nup somehow means the person requesting the pre-nup is expecting the marriage to fail. I don’t agree. I feel like it’s a safety precaution.”
For Kandi, who has had a very successful career in the music business and beyond, a prenup is simply a smart business decision that makes things easier in the event of a divorce. “I feel like people do some crazy and vindictive things when they’re hurt, so I think there should be agreements set in place while everyone is thinking clearly,” she explains. “That way if D-day ever comes (and hopefully it won’t, but if it does), then it doesn’t have to get uglier and more hurtful than it already is.”
Kandi makes a valid argument in favor of prenups — and it certainly sounds like she’ll be making Todd sign on the dotted line — but do you agree with her logic, or should love conquer all? Vote below!
