Will Race Relations Be a Big Topic in Season 4 of Real Housewives of Atlanta?
For nearly three seasons, The Real Housewives of Atlanta managed to refrain from playing the race card, a remarkable feat on a show dominated by strong, smart African-American women, and one over-the-top, ditzy, token white girl.
But all that Southern belle PC-ness went out the window during last season's conclusion, when some serious accusations were made and the ladies showed their true colors.
The whole blow-up started when NeNe Leakes decided to call Kim Zolciak's assistant Sweetie a slave, mostly due to the fact that Kim treats Sweetie like a slave.
Valid point. Of course, Kim pointed out that Sweetie gets paid a small fortune to be at her beck and call. Fair enough.
While most of the other ladies felt that Sweetie's a big girl and she can take care of herself, they all agreed that they felt uncomfortable around Kim and Sweetie's ruthless banter. And in the Season 4 trailer, we see Kandi Burruss insisting to Kim that she doesn't think she's a racist.
So, what's up? Is there going to be a situation in Atlanta? Vote in our poll!
