Looking for scoop on Kandi Burruss? We’ve got all the latest Kandi photos, gossip, videos, and news right here!
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss has been on RHoA for four seasons, joining the cast in 2009 at the start of Season 2 with NeNe Leakes and now-departed cast members Sheree Whitfield and Kim Zolciak. Like her Real Housewives co-stars, Kandi has been very open about covering personal issues on the show, including how she dealt with the death of her former fiance, Ashley Jewell, following a club brawl.
Before joining Housewives in 2009, Kandi won a Grammy and countless other awards as a singer and songwriter. The former Xscape member has penned hits for the likes of Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Boyz II Men, Da Brat, *NSYNC, Usher, and Whitney Houston, and won a Grammy in 1999 for the TLC song, “No Scrubs.” She has also had a fairly successful solo career, releasing hits such as “Fly Above” and her more recent gospel tune, “Stay Prayed Up.”
While Kandi may have earned a reputation for being the crier of the Atlanta Housewives cast — which now includes Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Stewart — she’s also had plenty of happy moments through the years. Thanks to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi met her current fiancé, Todd Tucker, while he was working on the production team for Season 4. She’s also relocated to a much larger house, and has her own spin-off airing on Bravo called The Kandi Factory.
Off-camera, Kandi is a dedicated mom to her 10-year-old daughter, Riley, and with two Atlanta boutiques, a line of sex toys, and a weekly sex advice show, our girl Kandi is also quite the entrepreneur. Sweetly enough, Kandi is currently in the process of planning her dream wedding to Todd — which may or may not be televised on Bravo!
