Real Housewives of Orange County stars Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney are going through a rough patch. They feuded at the end of Season 7, and now that Season 8 has debuted, it’s clear there’s still plenty of tension between the former best friends. The two main points of contention are Vicki’s relationship with boyfriend Brooks Ayers and Wines by Wives, the celebrity wine club founded by Vicki, Tamra and their business partner, Chris Gravagna.

Given all the fighting — not to mention Tamra’s onscreen questioning of Vicki’s commitment to Wines by Wives — are the two still partners in the venture? Are they even speaking? Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with Chris, who filled us in.

“You need to remember, what you’re seeing on the show now actually took place five to six months ago,” Chris tells Wetpaint. “I’m not going to lie, though, it did get strange for a minute. But with any good partnerships, there are going to be bumps in the road and at the end of the day, yes both are still involved. The three of us — Vicki, Tamra and I — are still partners. There was some stress, but thankfully we were able to get through it.”

What about Vicki’s Vodka? Or Tamra’s deal with Cuca Fresca cachaca? Won’t they compete with Wines by Wives?

“For me, it’s not a conflict,” says Chris. “I’m completely supportive of their other ventures. The three of us have been friends from way before Wines by Wives.”

“More importantly, they’re both still very committed to Wines by Wives,” he adds. “We have weekly calls and meetings and we’re all doing what we’re supposed to be doing. Their job is to drive exposure to the brand and mine is to run day-to-day logistics. There’s a also a huge team behind the brand helping us execute our goals.”

Things are going so well, in fact, some new familiar faces have joined the label. “We have Kathy Wakile from Real Housewives of New Jersey coming onboard,” Chris reveals. “And a few more exciting names joining us this fall. Things at Wines by Wives are better than ever.”

We’ll drink to that!
