Who knew a little piece of corrugated paper could cause such a fuss?

The trouble started on May 29, when Radar Online published a story about a customer at Lisa Vanderpump’s famed restaurant, Villa Blanca, who was reportedly served a salad with pieces of cardboard in it. After sending it back, the diner said she received a new salad that again had cardboard in it.

Needless to say, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was less than pleased about the attack on the quality of her restaurant.

“Oh dear I should ve [sic] known better than to criticize radar on line [sic] in defense of Kyle. Here we go again,” Lisa tweeted, making reference to statements she made denouncing the website’s report that she and Brandi Glanville had confronted Kyle Richards about husband Mauricio Umansky’s alleged extramarital affairs. Lisa also retweeted positive comments from other people who’ve dined at Villa Blanca and vouched for its impeccable quality.

But on May 30, Radar published another story about an apology note a waiter from Villa Blanca allegedly gave the customer who got the cardboard salad.

Radar’s news editor, Amber Goodhand, tweeted a link to the story and wrote, “#EXCLUSIVE: @LisaVanderpump Can’t Deny This: See Apology Note From Waiter About Cardboard In Salad.”

In response, Lisa tweeted, “@AmberGoodhand we sold 27 crab and lobster salads that lunchtime, with no issue...this all feels a little strange.”

Amber replied to Lisa’s tweet and wrote, “@LisaVanderpump Accidents happen. No shame in that. Thinking maybe veggies were chopped on cardboard and some accidentally slipped in?!”

She added, “And I should note, it was handled perfectly. Manager came over, meal was comped, etc.”

Later, Lisa attempted to bury the hatchet and tweeted, “Sorry for slamming you @radar_online with regard to @KyleRichards18 but I always call it how I see it. Maybe I will shut up in future.”

Not to be deterred, Radar Online replied to Lisa and wrote, “This has nothing to do with @KyleRichards18. It's strictly about a cardboard slip-up at your restaurant.”

The website's managing editor, David Perel, chimed in as well and tweeted, “Sorry Lisa, but the story is true. We have the proof.”

He then encouraged Lisa to direct message him via Twitter for more details.
