Like many Housewives before her, Gretchen Rossi has parlayed her reality fame into a certified brand — a super sexy one at that! The Real Housewives of Orange County star recently launched a line of hot bikinis called Gretchen Christine for LUXE with the help of designer Lisa Vogel.
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Gretchen at SwimSpot in Santa Monica, California, where she held a meet and greet with Lisa to celebrate the swimwear line. The blonde bombshell dished on co-star Tamra Barney’s recent wedding and gave juicy details about Real Housewives of Orange County’s 100th episode special, which airs on June 24.
Wetpaint Entertainment: Tamra's wedding, how was that?
Gretchen Rossi: It was beautiful. It was so beautiful. She made a beautiful bride, and the whole ceremony and the reception was to die for. I mean, it was a beautiful, beautiful day.
What did she look like?
She just looked amazing. She had three different dress changes. Like every bride, every bride walks down, and you go, "Oh, she's so pretty."
Were you dying to squeeze to fit into a bridesmaid dress, or were you relieved? There was talk about you maybe being a bridesmaid.
Oh, no. I wasn't a bridesmaid. No, I think there's times that you want to be a bridesmaid, for sure. I mean, actually, I think their dresses were beautiful. I think they were really pretty dresses. I heard they were by Vera Wang, and they were this beautiful lush color. They were really pretty.
What can you say about the hundredth episode of Real Housewives of Orange County?
The hundredth episode is going to be so neat because it's the first time they are really pulling the curtain back, and they're really delving into the secrets, and the behind the scenes. And we've never really seen that before. You've never really seen all of — I think they're actually showing all of our audition tapes. I think they have clip from that. I just found out. So there's a lot of really fun, juicy, behind the scenes stuff that I think the audience has a lot of questions and has been dying to ask those questions for so long, but they've never really been able to get the answers. So I think this is the first time that you're going to get some really juicy behind the scenes stuff.
It's been a while. Looking back, what are some of your highlights, favorite moments of being part of this?
I would say when I threw my parents a surprise 40th wedding anniversary extravaganza and had them renew their vows. That was a very special moment for me, and had so much fun planning it, and they were just so surprised. So I absolutely love that. This season, I'm going to be getting engaged on the show, and it was a pretty spectacular moment. So I think that's going to be one of those big moments as well.
