Paula Deen has been given the boot by the Food Network, so we should perhaps expect some surprising names to come out of the woodwork as possible replacements.

Paula — who is embroiled in an unflattering scandal involving racial epithets and alleged sexual abuse — has been informed that the Food Network will not be renewing her contract when it expires at the end of the month.

But could this surprising turn of events for Paula provide a new career path for someone else?

Apparently, fans of Real Housewives of Orange County think so, as a Vicki Gunvalson parody Twitter account is pushing the Vickster for the gig.

"In talks with @FoodNetwork to take @Paula_Deen's place. #woohoo #cooking #wine #wheresdonn," the fake Vicki account writes on Twitter on June 21.

And while the real Vicki herself had nothing to do with this tweet, we actually think Vicki would be pretty awesome to watch on the Food Network.

After all, she's quite the wine buff, as her Wines by Wives business would attest, and as her description on her real Twitter page says, "I love to cook."

However, it seems that not everyone on Twitter realized that this tweet about Vicki replacing Paula was a joke.

"For cooking? Lmao," wrote one Twitter commenter.

"Woo hoo, bring @BrooksAyers and do a cooking show for gigolos," wrote another fan, apparently referencing the rumor from this week's episode that Brooks spent some quality time with a certain friend of Lauri Peterson's daughter.

So would you like to see Vicki on the Food Network? Or do you think there's another Housewife who would be even better suited for the gig — like Lisa Vanderpump, perhaps?
