Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille Grammer has had one hard month.

First, Camille underwent a “radical” hysterectomy in early October after being diagnosed with early stage endometrial cancer. While the procedure went well and Camille is expected to make a complete recovery, things only got harder for the reality star following the operation. On October 28, Camille took to Twitter to reveal that she had been physically abused.

It soon came out that Camille had taken a restraining order out against her ex-boyfriend Dimitri Charalambopoulos following allegations that he had beaten her in a Houston hotel room while she was recovering from surgery.

While Camille has stayed strong, tweeting, “Women can’t be silenced after being physically abused!” the reality star is understandably still suffering.

“I’ve been in contact with her and she’s not OK,” Camille’s former co-star Brandi Glanville told Access Hollywood. “She’s definitely moving forward, pressing charges. She just didn’t want to let it go on. I guess it’s been volatile for a while.”

Asked about whether she ever expect violence from Dimitri, Brandi admitted that while she didn’t see it coming, she wasn’t completely shocked.

“We knew him, but he never spoke, he never talked,” she said. “I was surprised, but I wasn’t shocked because I’d seen them fight and I heard them fight before, but I couldn’t believe that he laid his hands on her.”

As for whether Brandi believes Camille’s claims of abuse, which some have called into question, the star says she doesn’t doubt her friend’s charges.

“I do believe it, she’s not a liar,” Brandi said.
